Kite MCP Server

Development Environment with Nix

This project includes a Nix flake for setting up a consistent development environment. This ensures that all developers have the same tools and dependencies regardless of their operating system.

Prerequisites

• Nix package manager with flakes enabled
• (Optional) direnv for automatic environment loading

Getting Started with Nix

1. Enter the development shell:

   nix develop
   

2. If you're using direnv, simply enter the directory and allow direnv:

   direnv allow
   

3. The development environment includes:

   • Go 1.24
   • gopls (Go language server)
   • golangci-lint
   • delve (Go debugger)
   • go-tools

Environment Variables

Remember to set up your environment variables in .env file:

KITE_API_KEY=your_api_key
KITE_API_SECRET=your_api_secret
APP_MODE=sse  # or stdio
APP_PORT=8080  # optional
APP_HOST=localhost  # optional

Claude config:

The path to the config file can be found in the claude_desktop_config.json file.
