Overview

Command keepalived-check is the health-check child.

It runs the configured checkers, applies quorum, and writes the results into the IPVS table. It is a separate process from VRRP for one reason: it parses responses from arbitrary backends — HTTP bodies, SMTP banners, DNS answers — and a crash while doing that must not take the routing with it.
