version

Overview

Package version holds the program release (injected from VERSION, currently 1.0.28 when built) distinct from protocol 1.0 (0x0100). Handshake carries both.

Program names on Hello/Status. Not git, OS, or Go.

Variables

var Version = "dev"

Version is the program release (node and clients). Injected at build:

-X github.com/a3app/loft/internal/version.Version=$(cat VERSION)

Distinct from the protocol version. Handshake sends program name + this semver; not git, OS, or Go.
