Overview

Package mcp exposes the core engine over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude can query a vault. It is registered per-vault via a project-scoped .mcp.json. Built on the Go MCP SDK.

Serve opens the vault index, builds it, and runs the MCP server over stdio. The tool names are a stable contract: clients (the plugin, Codex, Desktop) rely on them, so they are guarded by tests.
